It's official. I've been with Weight Watchers for a year and 4 days now. I'd love to say I'm at goal weight and will never struggle with eating again, but that is not even realistic let alone true. I am 158 pounds for a loss of 69 pounds in one year. The last months since September have been very difficult. The scale isn't moving as fast and having to eat less and less has caused a lot of old habits and self-sabotaging thoughts to surface. It's amazing that I'm still such an emotional eater. Stress, fatigue, sadness: any of them is an excuse to over eat if I want it to be. I'm working on some new goals for this year of WW.
1. Learn to eat only when hungry and only until satisfied, not stuffed. Realize that not all points need to be eaten.
2. Continue working out to tone muscle and drop body fat. CBF%:33 GBF%: 22
3. Focus on how my body moves and feels, not on the scale and clothing size (though I'd love to be a true size 8).
4. Look at my naked lower body with love and admiration (The cellulite and sagging skin take some getting used to.
I know that I want to continue to be a role model for my patients. I want them to look at me and know they can be healthy, too. I know that God will honor my heart's desire and continue to give me the strength I need to persist.
