Well, it's so sad to see that I've had this blog for 2 years and haven't even made it to 52 blogs-total! It's no surprise to any one who really knows me that I'd much rather read a book or cook a meal than do any major self-reflection. I know that it's good for me, but like going to the gym these days, I need a push.
I'm happy to report that I made it through the holiday food frenzy with minimal weight gain and was 8 pounds above goal on January 2nd. That's only 2 pounds above pre-thanksgiving weight, but 5 pounds over pre christmas weight--FUDGE IS DANGEROUS!!!
No resolutions this year but I started a sugar-free challenge on Wednesday. No sweets, added sugar, sweetners, or HFCS containing foods for 4 weeks. Also no diet sodas and only one ON-THE-GO packet of crystal light a day. Sis is holding $100 in her paypal account and will give me $25 for each week I make it. If I mess up, she gets to keep the $25 and the week starts from that day. It's an exercise of discipline but also to help me work on listening to the triggers for my emotional eating. Today is day 5, so far so good, even at the reception yesterday and church today where fresh, warm coffee cake called to everyone.
Not much else to say except that I'm planning on being in Venice in Feb, NC & Texas in March/April and on a Celebrity Cruise ship the second half of May--All paid for with CASH!!!
