Happy Bastille Day!

I know. I'm not French, don't live in France and can't speak a lick of the language I studies for 6 years, but it's the closest holiday I could think of. It's been a roller coster spring with tons of goodbyes and new responsibilities!

On the weight loss front: After ballooning up to 159 between going to NC in March and hotel livin' in May in San Antonio, i have managed to get the scale to slide downward again and weighed in WEdnesday at 155. Still not goal, but healthy and within my 3 pound allowance. I continue to workout almost daily and have the sore muscles to prove it. i admit to being irked that some of my clothes are tighter than they were in MArch, but others are loose so I don't know if I shrunk a few things or if my body is just reshaping itself now that I'm maintaining. I still log everything I eat and chat occasionally on WW, but have not used it nearly as much as I used to. Have to think about whether or not I want to continue to pay for online access to the calculator.

On the financial peace front: The title finally showed up in the mail this week after paying off the car the last time I posted. My student loan is now beind knocked away with twice a month overpayments and every extra dime I can find to throw at it. Target date: Christmas 2007 I'm so excited that the car service on Wednesday was less than what I had saved up, so I still have money in the car repair fund :))

Travel Report: Amazingly, I have opted not to travel much this summer. Being debt free is more important to me, but I am going away for my birthday week. I'll let you know where, once I buy the tickets. Kerrie and I are going to London in October. It would be easier if we had more money cause a hostel will cost us $100 per person for 3 nights, but we can make it work. The main thing will be to limit eating out and frivolous shopping. Also glad that so many of the things to see can be done for free. I already have 15 pounds in the house waiting for the trip.

Work Report: As of today I am the lone pediatrician in town. Evne though I've been medical director for 6 weeks and only see patients 1/2 time, it hasn't been too busy. The first week, when I was seeing a full schedule of patients was hard,, but now I just have to avoid seeing the grownups!
